On International Volunteer Recognition Day 2026, the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin hosted the sixth edition of its annual HELP Awards, recognising individuals and organisations whose work has supported communities across Ireland. Volunteers, community leaders, human rights advocates and changemakers gathered for the event, which also welcomed previous honourees.
Frank Allen, previous awardee, playwright, director and former Dublin Prisons teacher, gave the keynote address. Those honoured this year included Walk And Talk represented by Stephen Brennan, the Kurdish Community of Ireland represented by Mokthar Moradi, the Indonesian-Irish Association represented by Irene Murphy, Scoil Rince Ní Áogain represented by Denise Egan, Nicolae Dulea, Joseph Orgin and Feljose Shristeca, Stefano Bonvini, Mohammed Rashid of Safco Fine Foods, Mass Events Ireland, Dr. Mahesh news euromillions Baj and Neera Baj.
Founded in 2019 by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, the HELP Awards recognise people and organisations making a difference through volunteer action. The event also highlighted the wider mission of the Scientology Volunteer Minister programme, created by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, through which trained volunteers respond to social challenges and assist communities.
